As Kissel notes in is article for the mothership, this was one of the first opportunities for the new defensive staff led by coordinator Steve Spagnuolo to work with some players.

“These [new coaches] have a lot of energy, and we were all joking earlier, I think some of our position groups are in for a little bit of a culture shock when we go to training camp because these guys are intense,” Veach said, per Kissel. “They’re passionate and they really get after it. It was great to see those guys get out there and I’m already looking forward to OTAs and having these guys get their hands on our guys.”

That is encouraging.
