The Kansas City Chiefs made a minor roster move official late Monday. The team waived offensive lineman Tejan Koroma, according to the league’s official transaction report.

Koroma, 23, first entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Chiefs in 2018 before injuring his knee in early August. Koroma spent the season on injured reserve and the Chiefs officially moved on from him Monday.

The 6-foot BYU product mixed in along the interior of the offensive line in training camp, but it must not have made sense for the team to bring him back after they drafted Illinois’ Nick Allegretti in the seventh round on Saturday.

Brett Veach said that Allegretti figures to “fight for some playing time,” competing against names like Kahlil McKenzie, Ryan Hunter and Jimmy Murray.
