The first round of the NFL Draft came and went without the Kansas City Chiefs making a pick—and that was not much of a surprise.
After the Chiefs acquired defensive end Frank Clark, giving up this year’s first-rounder and one of next year’s second-rounders, it would have been expensive to trade back into the round even if the Chiefs were in love with a player.
Onto day two we go.
Chiefs’ day-two picks
Day two of the NFL Draft consists of rounds two and three. The Chiefs hold three day-two picks, as of now, but knowing Chiefs general manager Brett Veach, I wouldn’t be all that surprised if they end up with only two players.
Here are the picks:
- Round 2: Pick No. 61 overall
- Round 2: Pick No. 63 overall
- Round 3: Pick No. 84 overall
There are seven minutes between picks in round two and five minutes between picks in round three. The Chiefs own four more picks on day three (rounds 4-7).
