LeBron James led the Los Angeles Lakers to a thrilling 125-119 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans at the Staples Center on Wednesday night — and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was there to take in all of the action from the best seats in the house...

Courtside.

And there was no shortage of excitement. With just 30 seconds left in the game, and the Lakers leading by three, James drained a three right in front of Mahomes to extend Los Angeles’ lead.

Here’s Mahomes’ reaction:

Following the game, reporters asked James — who tallied 33 points and 10 assists — if he noticed Mahomes’ reaction to the crucial three-pointer.

“I did not,” James said. “I knew he was at the game. I seen him on the jumbotron, but I didn’t know where he was sitting. I know he was courtside. As he should be courtside. He’s MVP.”

LeBron gets it.

Later that night, the two MVPs sent the internet into a frenzy when they shared some mutual love over Twitter.

My heart could burst.

Now, can we see this beautiful saga come full-circle by getting LeBron to a Chiefs game this season?
