Speaking to the media on Thursday, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said that only one player will be missing from Thursday’s practice session as the team prepares to face the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday: backup offensive lineman Cameron Erving, who is being held out from practice with an illness.
OL Cam Erving is the only #Chiefs player not practicing on Thursday. He’s sick.

During the team’s Christmas Day practice on Wednesday — which was held later in the day than usual so players and coaches could spend time with their families on Christmas morning — every player on the roster practiced. Two, however — cornerback Morris Claiborne and left guard Andrew Wylie — were limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Claiborne is working his way back from a shoulder injury he sustained against the Oakland Raiders in Week 13. He has now missed three games. He was limited in al of last week’s practice as well.
Wylie missed Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears after injuring his ankle in Week 15’s game against the Denver Broncos. He missed all of last week’s practices, listed officially with ankle/shoulder/illness. Veteran Stefen Wisniewski stepped in for Wylie on Sunday.
Running back Spencer Ware left Sunday’s game with an injury, but we knew little about it until Wednesday, when the team placed Ware on injured reserve with a torn rotator cuff. The Chiefs also officially returned defensive tackle Xavier Williams to the roster. He had been on injured reserve since Week 6. He had been designated for return to the roster on December 4.
