We speculated on Wednesday that the NFL may decide to flex the matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Chicago Bears out of Week 16’s edition of Sunday Night Football.
The league was reportedly considering the game between the New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Titans to take its place.
But that won’t be happening, according to NFL Network’s Andrew Siciliano.
Bears - Chiefs will NOT be flexed next week.

The Chiefs beat the Denver Broncos to improve to 10-4, while the Chicago Bears dropped to 7-7 with a loss to the Green Bay Packers. The Tennessee Titans fell to 8-6 with a loss to the Houston Texans.
Even though one could argue the Titans are still in better playoff position than the Bears, the NFL opted to keep the easy storylines of Patrick Mahomes vs. Mitch Trubisky and Andy Reid vs. Matt Nagy in one of its premier time slots.
