Chiefs-Titans: Making sense of snap counts

How were Chiefs players used in Sunday’s loss to the Titans?

NFL: Kansas City Chiefs at Tennessee Titans Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs fell to the Tennessee Titans 35-32 on Sunday, falling to 6-4 on the season — and 1-3 against the AFC South.

Let’s see how Chiefs players contributed to the loss.

Starters (offensive): WR Tyreek Hill, LT Cameron Erving, LG Martinas Rankin, C Austin Reiter, RG Andrew Wylie, RT Mitchell Schwartz, TE Travis Kelce, WR Sammy Watkins, QB Patrick Mahomes, RB Damien Williams and WR Demarcus Robinson.

Starters (defensive): LDE Emmanuel Ogbah, LDT Derrick Nnadi, RDT Chris Jones, RDE Tanoh Kpassagnon, LB Anthony Hitchens, LB Damien Wilson, LB Reggie Ragland, LCB Bashaud Breeland, RCB Charvarius Ward, FS Juan Thornhill and SS Tyrann Mathieu.

Did not play: QB Matt Moore.

Inactive: QB Chad Henne, RB LeSean McCoy, CB Kendall Fuller, DT Mike Pennel, T Eric Fisher, G Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and DE Alex Okafor.

Editor’s Note: Arrowhead Pride obtains snap count data from the NFL’s game stats and information system, which allows us to break out snap counts by run or pass on offensive and defensive plays. Because GSIS data ignores plays that were nullified by penalties, total offensive and defensive snap counts will vary from other sources, which get their data from NFL Gamebooks

Offensive takeaways
