On Monday prior to Thursday Night Football, the initial practice report is an estimation.

Each practice day, the Kansas City Chiefs will release an official injury report leading up to the next game. The Chiefs take on the Denver Broncos this Thursday at 7:20 p.m. Arrowhead Time.

Because the Chiefs don’t practice on Monday, the first report of the week is an estimation:

Some notes

  • If the Chiefs actually had practiced on Monday, CB Kendall Fuller (thumb), LT Eric Fisher (groin), DT Chris Jones (groin) and LG Andrew Wylie (ankle) would not have practiced. Five Chiefs — LT Cam Erving (groin), LB Anthony Hitchens (groin), DT Derrick Nnadi (elbow), LB Dorian O’Daniel (hamstring) and WR Sammy Watkins (hamstring) — would have been limited. Erving and Nnadi are new additions to the injury list.
  • It is positive that Watkins and O’Daniel, who missed all of practice last week, would have done something on Monday. NFL Network reported Monday morning that the Chiefs were “optimistic” Watkins could play Thursday night after missing last game with his hamstring issue.
  • WR Tyreek Hill would have been a full participant, likely indicating no issues stemming from his return to action against the Houston Texans.
  • Broncos CB Bryce Callahan, who has yet to play for the team this season, is the only player who wouldn’t have practiced for Denver on Monday.
