The Indianapolis Colts will travel to Arrowhead Stadium to face the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs after defeating the Houston Texans 21-7 on Saturday.
The Colts started the season 1-5, but finished 9-1 to claim the last Wild Card spot in the postseason. As the lowest seed in the playoffs, their victory over Houston automatically moves them into a game with the Chiefs — who hold the number one seed — in the next round.
The Chiefs-Colts game is set for Saturday, January 12 at 3:35 pm Arrowhead Time.
The Colts led the Texans 14-0 after their first two possessions and led 21-0 by halftime. Houston managed a touchdown early in the fourth quarter, but could do no more.
In the victory, Colts quarterback Andrew Luck completed 19 of 32 passes for 222 yards, two touchdowns and one interception for a passer rating of 88.5. T.Y. Hilton had 85 yards receiving on five catches, and Marlon Mack rushed for 148 yards and a touchdown on 24 attempts.
The winner of Sunday’s game between the Los Angeles Chargers and Baltimore Ravens will now determine who will face the second-seeded New England Patriots in the divisional round. Kickoff for that game is set or 12:05 Arrowhead Time.
