UPDATE: 4:02 p.m. Arrowhead Time
A new report has come through from NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
From “The Aftermath” on @nflnetwork: The #Chiefs are having internal discussions today about whether to make changes to their defensive coaching staff, up to and including coordinator Bob Sutton. Nothing decided yet but keep an eye on this one. pic.twitter.com/SzZcy1AL8p

GARAFOLO: “Well, no changes just yet, but I have had conversations with multiple sources here, and I am told that the Chiefs are having internal discussions here about do they need to make potential changes on the defensive coaching staff up to and including Bob Sutton. That’s what’s been happening in the building today. A lot of people saw that broadcast [Sunday] with Tony Romo calling out what the Patriots were going to do before they did it. That was a bad look in a lot of ways here, and these are the things that the Chiefs are discussing [Monday]. Are we not making the proper adjustments? Are we not seeing things? All those things. So, again, I stress—no decisions have been made. Andy Reid I believe told the media today that he’s evaluating everything and yes, that’s certainly true, but pointedly, I’ve been told to watch what’s happening on the defensive side of the ball with the coaching staff of the Kansas City Chiefs.”

Andy Reid responds to question about defensive coordinator position
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was asked several questions about the team’s defensive performance in 2018, as he closed out the season in his final press conference on Monday morning following the team’s 37-31 overtime loss to the New England Patriots in the AFC title game.
Reid was largely non-committal, not ruling out the departure of defensive coordinator Bob Sutton but not saying he would be back, either.

“All those things (need to change defensively)—players, all that kind of stuff I’ll go back here and look at. I look at everything. I’ll take a peek and I’ll look at it.

“What I do, I go back—I never talk about that here. I’ve never done that. It’s something I just go back and I look at everything. That’s the best answer I can give you.”
