Week 1 of the NFL season is upon us and so is the first edition of the SB Nation Chiefs FanPulse.
This week, we asked members of the FanPulse to weigh in on three topics:
- The Chiefs Week 1 game against the Los Angeles Chargers
- Current confidence level in the direction of the team
- The worst NFL rule entering the 2018 season.
Here were the results:
Will the Chiefs win or lose in Week 1?

The current spread for the game sits at -3 in favor of the LA Chargers, so if you trust the FanPulse, it might be worth a trip to your nearest sportsbook.
How confident are you in the current direction of the team?

Somewhat confident: 50 percent
Very confident: 42 percent
Meh: 4 percent
Not very confident: 3 percent
Not confident at all: 0 percent
Somewhat confident is exactly what I expected the most favorable choice to be. Chiefs general manager Brett Veach has shown no fear in being aggressive since taking over for John Dorsey a little more than a year ago. Now it’s a matter of whether or not those aggressive moves pan out in 2018 and beyond.
What is the worst NFL rule?

Any choice here is valid, but most Chiefs fans have a problem with the helmet rule. We’ll see if Week 1’s slate of games help or hurt that cause.
