Chiefs’ Thursday injury report vs. 49ers

Chris Jones returned to practice; Eric Berry did not.

Each practice day, the Kansas City Chiefs will release an official injury report leading up to the next game. Here is the report for Thursday:

Chiefs

The Chiefs announced that defensive lineman Chris Jones would return to practice after missing Wednesday, while safety Eric Berry would miss his second practice in a row this week. As a reminder, Berry hasn’t practice since August 11. Safety Armani Watts missed practice due to non-injury reasons.

Some notes

  • Berry (sore heel) has now missed two days of practice despite the NFL Network report on Monday that he could practice this week.
  • Jones (groin strain), as we expected, appears to be fine.
  • Linebacker Ben Niemann (hamstring) has been officially listed as limited this week. Looks like he’ll either be questionable or doubtful for Sunday.
  • Cornerback Richard Sherman popped up the Thursday injury report with a heel injury. He did not practice.
