The Chiefs saved $5 million in cap space by releasing Parker, 31, in mid-March. Parker eventually signed with the Atlanta Falcons but was cut by Atlanta early Saturday.
Then Parker’s tweet with the hashtag, “KC38,” a little before 2 p.m.
The Chiefs are expected to re-sign safety Ron Parker, a source tells me

Parker spent 2013-17 with the Chiefs before his cut, but his presumed return makes sense given his familiarity with Bob Sutton’s defensed, along with the confirmed knee injury to Daniel Sorensen and the heel concerns with Eric Berry.
In 89 career games, Parker has 320 combined tackles, seven sacks, 43 passes defensed and nine interceptions.
