It was an uneventful start to the preseason for Kansas City Chiefs starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who played early into the second quarter against the Houston Texans in the team’s first preseason game of 2018, finishing 5/7 for 33 yards.
Prior to two incompletions, Mahomes completed his first five passes in a row, including a nicely thrown 14-yard gain to Travis Kelce.

As planned, head coach Andy Reid removed Mahomes after his second series.
