Last week, we alerted you to an upcoming segment of ESPN’s E:60 weekend magazine featuring Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his older brother — Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce.
Entitled Bond Of Brothers, the segment aired in Sunday morning’s episode of the show.
I wasn’t able to watch it then, but thanks to the magic of modern technology (read “my DVR”), I’ve been able to watch it since then.
And this profile is definitely worth your time.
It includes home movies of the two brothers from their childhood in Westlake, Ohio, dreaming of NFL stardom... the story of Travis Kelce being suspended from both his high school and college teams before Jason’s senior year at both schools, preventing them from playing together at either level... and clearly shows the bond they have built achieving their shared goal.
We tend to think of Travis Kelce as a hothead and a playboy. But the emotion he displays while relating the struggles he had in high school and college — and the influence of his older brother in helping him find the right path — is revelatory.
Love him or hate him @Chiefs TE @tkelce is one of the best in the @NFL, but beyond the flamboyance and flash, there’s a side most people haven’t seen. Especially when it comes to his big brother @Eagles C @JasonKelce. pic.twitter.com/2Mo3lbCqO5

The episode will re-air several times this weekend — 6:00 a.m. Saturday on ESPN2, 11:00 p.m. Saturday on ESPN, and 7:00 a.m. Sunday on ESPN2. All times are Arrowhead Time.
Check your local listings, and make the time (or set your DVR) to watch this episode. You won’t regret it.
