Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Steve Nelson took a knee to the head on the team’s first defensive drive Friday night against the Atlanta Falcons.

Watch Falcons tight end Austin Hooper prior to scoring the first touchdown of the game.

It was a nasty hit, and Nelson looked to be at least temporarily knocked out before walking off the field under his own power.

Nelson is being evaluated for a head injury, according to the Chiefs’ official Twitter account.

David Amerson is the next cornerback up for the Chiefs.
