The NFL’s supplemental draft is set to take place this Wednesday, July 11, at Noon Arrowhead Time. The draft is not televised.
There hasn’t been a player selected in the supplemental draft since Isaiah Battle in 2015, but that could change as there are up to five players that are up for grabs in this year’s edition.
- Virginia Tech cornerback Adonis Alexander
- Western Michigan cornerback Sam Beal
- Mississippi State safety Brandon Bryant
- Grand Valley State running back Martayveus Carter
- Oregon State linebacker Bright Ugwoegbu
All 32 teams, including the Kansas City Chiefs, were in attendance for Beal’s pro day, and the Chiefs were one of 26 teams who attended Alexander’s pro day. The Chiefs were also one of four teams who spoke to Alexander.
If the Chiefs wish to make a selection of one of these players, they will tap into next year’s draft stock.
This week at Arrowhead Pride, we will be posting reviews of the three players most likely to be taken—Beal, Alexander and Bryant—and why they could potentially be fits for the Chiefs this upcoming season.
