The following players were held out of Kansas City Chiefs training camp in St. Joseph, Missouri, Sunday morning:

Vice president of communications Ted Crews on Thomas: “I think [Reid] is just giving him a rest day, from his leg.”

  • RB Charcandrick West (concussion)

  • Kareem Hunt (hamstring)

Andy Reid on Hunt (7/28): “His hamstring just tightened up a bit on him. I don’t want to mess around with that. He had a sore hamstring during the OTAs, and I want to stay away from that, so we’re easing him back in. He did some stuff early, and we just backed him off. I just don’t want to take any steps backward. All these guys that are coming off these injuries, I don’t want steps backward. So that’s what we’re doing.”

Injured during Sunday’s practice:

  • CB Keith Reaser (quad)
