Kansas City Chiefs Training Camp 2018: Saturday injury report

Here are the players who did not participate in training camp practice Saturday

NFL: Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The following players were held out of Kansas City Chiefs training camp in St. Joseph, Missouri, Saturday morning:

Returned to practice

  • S Armani Watts (strained ankle on 7/23)

Limited

  • Kareem Hunt (hamstring)

Andy Reid on Hunt: “His hamstring just tightened up a bit on him. I don’t want to mess around with that. He had a sore hamstring during the OTAs, and I want to stay away from that, so we’re easing him back in. He did some stuff early, and we just backed him off. I just don’t want to take any steps backward. All these guys that are coming off these injuries, I don’t want steps backward. So that’s what we’re doing. He still got a lot of work in—good conditioning work on the side.

“When you’re hurt here, you’re still working. We just get you over and have you do something else—that exhaustion point just like the guys doing it on the field, they’re just doing it on the side.”

Injured during Saturday’s practice:

  • RB Charcandrick West (head)

Andy Reid on West: “Charcandrick took a hit to the head so Rick (Burkholder) is evaluating him, and we’ll just see where he’s at. We’ll keep you up to date on it.”
