The following players were not on the field for the Kansas City Chiefs’ first full training camp practice on Thursday afternoon:
Looks like WRs Josh Crockett and Elijah Marks, LB Reggie Ragland, and DBs Ashton Lampkin and Armani Watts won’t practice today. Haven’t seen Marks. The rest on side.

“I’ll start with Reggie Ragland,” Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said after practice. “Reggie, we put on NFI (non-football injury list). His knee puffed up when he flew here. It was that simple. He’s had a great workout. He’s in great shape, and we’re just going to let it calm down. Precautionary measure. Let it calm down and he’ll get back out here. I don’t think it’s anything to get crazy about.”
There is no timetable at the moment for Ragland.
“We’ll just see how it works here,” Reid added. “Could be a few days. Could be a week—two weeks, who knows? We’ll see. When it calms down, he’ll be back out there.”
The Chiefs had 2017 fifth-rounder Ukeme Eligwe in the lineup in Ragland’s absence.
Reid’s additional notes:
- WR Josh Crockett - sick
- CB Ashton Lampkin - still rehabbing ACL
- S Armani Watts - ankle strain
Not mentioned but absent
- WR Elijah Marks - undisclosed
