Chiefs’ offseason injury update from OTAs

Tyreek Hill was held out of practice on Thursday

The Kansas City Chiefs held their third open practice of OTAs Thursday. Here were the players who did not participate:

Held out due to injury:

  • RB Kareem Hunt (hamstring strain)
  • WR Tyreek Hill (twisted ankle)
  • WR Byron Pringle (calf strain)

Held out due to continued rehab:

  • C Mitch Morse (foot)
  • WR De’Anthony Thomas (leg)
  • RB Spencer Ware (knee)

Missed but no injury (voluntary practice)

  • S Eric Berry
  • LB Justin Houston

Two nos

  • No, there is no reason to worry about injuries right now, unless they are serious. Many times, players will be held back even with minor injuries as to not make them worse during a time period that doesn’t matter.
  • No, it doesn’t matter that Berry and Houston missed a voluntary practice.

The Chiefs begin their three-day mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, June 12, and it runs through Thursday, June 14.
