Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce continued to the climb up the NFL Top 100 rankings Monday night when he came in at No. 24. Kelce was No. 26 in 2017 and No. 91 in 2016. The rankings are voted upon by the players themselves.
Kelce, 28, finished with a career-high eight touchdowns in 2017 on 83 catches and 1,038 yards.
“I don’t know if there’s a better tight end in the NFL right now than Travis Kelce,” Kirk Cousins, who now plays for the Minnesota Vikings, said. “When we played them on Monday night, I remember there was a play where he ran a post in the red zone. He looked pretty covered. It looked like a tight window.”
Kelce scored a touchdown against the Redskins on the play. He also received strong compliments from two-time Pro Bowler and former All-Pro tight end Vernon Davis.
“You want a wide receiver in a tight end’s body? Then you need to go for my guy Travis Kelce,” Davis said.
