Don’t forget about Spencer Ware.

The sixth-year running back who missed all of last season due to injury posted a video of his progress Thursday evening, and he looked shifty.

Ware, 26, has yet to participate in six Chiefs OTA practices, but this video would lead you to believe he could be ready in time for training camp, or at least the start of the season.

Ware wrote:

You know how I’m coming ! -plies @plies @NFL #2018 @ArrowheadPride #YESLAWD12 month recovery time you can say I’m on track! #FoWhat #ItsWorth

The tag of Arrowhead Pride confirms Ware as an AP contributor, which we certainly appreciate. He also wrote that he is on track for a 12-month recovery time.

Since Ware had surgery to heal his torn PCL and LCL on September 2, 2017, quick math tells me that he is on track to return around September 2, 2018.

This should be pleasing to any Chiefs fan, with Ware being the guy in 2016, before anyone in Kansas City knew who Kareem Hunt was.

Ware does face an uphill battle in securing a job in a suddenly crowded running back room, however.

Hunt is the now the unquestioned starter, and he will be battling his pal Charcandrick West, in addition to every Williams Damien Williams, Kerwynn Williams and Darrel Williams for a depth spot.
