Chiefs promote seven members of personnel staff, hire two others

The Kansas City Chiefs and general manager Brett Veach announced seven promotions on their personnel staff late Wednesday afternoon. They also officially announced two new hires.

The names to know:

  • Mike Borgonzi from director of player personnel to director of football operations
  • Chris Shea from salary cap and legal executive to football operations counsel and personnel executive
  • Ryan Poles from director of college scouting to assistant director of player personnel
  • Ryne Nutt from assistant director of college scouting to director of college scouting
  • Trey Koziol from area scout to national scout
  • Jason Lamb from area scout to college and pro scout
  • Rob Francois from player personnel assistant to national football scout

The new hires:

  • Mike Bradway - assistant director of player personnel

Per Chiefs PR: Bradway enters his 11th NFL season after spending the previous 10 years with the Philadelphia Eagles in various personnel capacities. He most recently served as the Eagles Assistant Director of College Scouting.

  • Greg Castillo - college scouting director

Per Chiefs PR: Castillo served most recently as a Scouting Intern with the New Orleans Saints. Prior to transitioning to personnel, he played safety for the Chiefs during the 2013 preseason. The Mount Laurel, New Jersey, native, played collegiately at the University of Iowa.
