The Kansas City Chiefs cut two more players this week, according to the NFL’s transactions report. The Chiefs released DT Josh Augusta and TE Orson Charles.
Two more roster moves for the Chiefs. Waived for Missouri Tigers DT Josh Augusta and terminated the contract of vested veteran TE Orson Charles, per the NFL transaction report.

Orson Charles is the name you may recognize here. He played a role in the Chiefs playoff loss as I can remember a key drop. He was the third tight end though so it’s not fair to expect him to be Travis Kelce in the playoffs. The Chiefs traded for TE Randall Telfer earlier this week so these moves may be related.
Mizzou fans may remember Augusta who was signed to a futures contract after the season. Here’s what we wrote about Augusta when he first signed in KC: He’s a massive nose tackle, at 6 feet 4 and 335 pounds and is only 23 years old. Augusta was a productive player at Mizzou, but reportedly needed some work with NFL conditioning coaches in order to compete at the next level.
