Chiefs trade Dadi Nicolas to Browns for a tight end

The Kansas City Chiefs are trading LB Dadi Nicolas to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for TE Randall Telfer, according to Field Yates of ESPN.

This is the John Dorsey connection at play. Nicolas was a 2016 sixth round pick by the Chiefs. He was a raw pass rusher who the Chiefs thought had some potential until a knee injury ended his rookie season. He didn’t play last season.

Telfer is a 6’4, 250-pound tight end out who went to USC. He has five career catches so clearly not a proven talent at this point. Nicolas was no lock to make the team so I wouldn’t say Telfer is either at this point. He joins a roster with five other tight ends: Travis Kelce, Demetrius Harris, Orson Charles, Jace Amaro and Tim Wright.
