The Kansas City Chiefs released safety Devin Chappell Tuesday, according to the NFL’s transaction report.

The Chiefs originally signed Chappell as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon State in 2017, but he would spend the year on injured reserve due to an injury that occurred during organized team activities.

Chappell’s injury was never disclosed.

The 2018 roster as it officially stands now totals 79 players, leaving 11 open spots for upcoming free agent signings.
