We talked earlier this offseason about the possibility of adding Aqib Talib to the Kansas City Chiefs secondary. Considering he’s been one of the Chiefs’ biggest rivals for a few years it’s hard to imagine but he’s a good cornerback who could hit the market and that’s a potential position of need for the Chiefs.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport tweeted out that the Broncos could be moving on from Talib this offseason. To which Talib responded:
who coming to get me??? https://t.co/Tm2I3AGW9O

That’s funny. A few other NFL players responded to him on Twitter after that.
So, should the Chiefs be interested in him? Our own Seth Keysor wrote a piece on this recently and said yes. Go read that if you want more specifics on how he could fit but I am down for interest in any cornerbacks at this point. The more corners the better after the Chiefs lost Peters. The Chiefs have one for-sure starter in Kendall Fuller and then a bunch of younger guys after that. Adding an established starter is something I would be interested in.
The Chiefs, after all their offseason moves, now have some cap space to work with where signing a quality free agent cornerback is a legitimate possibility.
Poll
Should the Chiefs sign Aqib Talib in free agency?
How does this look?
