The Kansas City Chiefs are visiting with a free agent running back which is interesting. The back is Thomas Rawls out of Seattle. The Seahawks could have kept with him a restricted free agent tender but didn’t. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting the news.
Another RB the #Seahawks did not tender: Thomas Rawls. He’s visiting the #Chiefs today, source said. He’s looking to recapture what he had a rookie.

Running back wasn’t really on my radar because the Chiefs have Kareem Hunt as their workhorse and Spencer Ware, who was injured last year, returning to the team. Charcandrick West is also under contract.
Rawls is an interesting one. He had a really solid rookie year in Seattle with over 800 yards rushing and a strong 5.6 yards per carry. Since that 2015 season, he has averaged 3.2 and 2.7 yards per carry. Clearly he had something going his rookie year but clearly that wasn’t working the past two years.
I’m not sure what to make of this visit. It could be the Chiefs doing their due diligence and keeping tabs on everyone.
