[Update: Cap expert Joel Corry says the key date is March 14, not March 1, so we might still be waiting for a little while longer)
Many expect the Kansas City Chiefs to cut Tamba Hali this offseason because of the nearly $8 million in cap savings that would come for a player who hardly made an impact last season. I don’t know when the decision on Tamba’s future is going to come but I want to point to two recent developments that make me wonder something is happening sooner rather than later.
First, unless his contract has been changed since last November, Tamba is due a bonus tomorrow, March 1.
Chiefs restructured Tamba Hali's deal, source confirms. Received $250K bonus and had $1M moved to a bonus due March 1. @RapSheet had it 1st

Second, Tamba’s Instagram story showed him in Kansas City today after he hadn’t been lately (at least according to social media).

Could be nothing ... could be something. Stay tuned.
