NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo: “I’m thinking Marcus Peters remains a Chief” | Arrowhead Pride
“No one has told us that it’s accurate. No one has told us that it’s not accurate or that it couldn’t happen here. This began with Pro Football Talk over the weekend saying there was some talk around the league that, “Would the Chiefs make Marcus Peters available via trade?” but really nobody truly bringing it home and saying, 'This guy’s on the market.'"
Former teammate: Kendall Fuller can grow to be one of the best in the game | Arrowhead Pride
“I sat in the meeting rooms with Kendall Fuller,” he said. “Last year he was a rookie. I saw the struggles he’s had as a rookie and to come in and watch him grow—in the meeting room, OTA one to the end of the year—seeing him grow into the tremendous player he is, it just hurt me a little, to see a young guy who can grow to be one of the best DBs in this league, to see him walk away, it kind of hurt me a lot.”
Dorleant played in four games for the Green Bay Packers in 2016 before being released last April. He signed a futures contract with the Kansas City Chiefs in January.
We hope the Chiefs add another playmaker in the passing game to help Mahomes, but Smith just finished as the No. 3 Fantasy quarterback in 2017 behind Russell Wilson and Tom Brady with 4,042 passing yards, 26 touchdowns, five interceptions, 355 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown. No one is expecting Mahomes to replicate that kind of production, but he has a high ceiling given his skill set.
Free agent focus: The Bears should slot in Albert Wilson at wide receiver | The Athletic
Given the jarring lack of production from the Bears' passing game in 2017, bringing in a creative, adaptable offensive mind like Matt Nagy was a sensible first step. Their struggles centered around a lack of creativity in their play calling and more importantly, a dearth of talent. Bringing along a rookie quarterback is a challenge. But there's no doubt Mitch Trubisky was throwing to an inferior group of wide receivers.
Dolphins place franchise tag on Jarvis Landry | NFL.com
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported the tag will pay Landry approximately $16 million and is non-exclusive, meaning he's able to negotiate with other teams, but would cost an outside suitor two first-round draft picks for the right to sign him.
Titans keep Ryan Succop on 5-year, $20 million deal | NFL.com
The Titans have agreed to terms with Ryan Succop on a contract extension, the team announced on Tuesday. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported the contract is for five years and worth $20 million, including $7.5 million in guarantees, according to a source informed of the terms of the contract.
Andrew Luck working on 'a little bit of throwing' | NFL.com
"Yeah, so I'm in the middle of sort of a little bit of throwing, but strengthening and preparing my shoulder to be able the throw load that is part of being an NFL quarterback -- that's part of being a quarterback," Luck replied, per the team's official website. "So the focus right now is still strengthening all those muscles and making sure that my shoulder can handle it.”
Ryan Shazier: I'm trying to come back, be an All-Pro | NFL.com
"I've gotta get back, bro," Shazier told Nix of his desire to return to an NFL field. "Every day, bro. Every day I'm like -- right now, I'm reading a book and it's basically saying trust the process, bro. I'm really trusting the process and I know the end goal. I'm taking it every step of the way but I'm like, I'm giving it like my football effort, like 1,000, everything I've got."
