The Kansas City Chiefs secondary wasn’t good enough last year and it’s clear by their actions so far this season. After trading for CB Kendall Fuller a couple weeks ago, the Chiefs have reportedly signed another free agent corner: David Amerson. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports it is a one-year, $6 million deal so if that’s legit then this means the Chiefs clearly expect Amerson to make the team and contribute next season.
We have signed free agent cornerback David Amerson.

He had some interest before this. The NFL rumor mill said the Bears, 49ers and Texans among the teams as having some level of interest.
So this is Fuller and now Amerson, 26, injected into the Chiefs secondary. He should be familiar to some Chiefs fans as he played for the Raiders the last few years. He was a 2013 second round pick by Washington before that.
I like this. Bring on as much help as you can get, especially guys who are young (enough) like Amerson.
