Berry, Watkins, West and Benjamin all inactive for Ravens game

Two injured stars — and two recent signings — will not play against the Ravens at Arrowhead.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens have submitted their inactives lists for the Week 14 game at Arrowhead Stadium.

As expected, safety Eric Berry and wide receiver Sammy Watkins are inactive with injuries. Both of the Chiefs’ recent signings — running back Charcandrick West and wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin — are healthy scratches for the game. As usual, offensive linemen Kahlil McKenzie and Jimmy Murray — along with tight end Deon Yelder — are also healthy scratches.

For the Ravens, the biggest news is that quarterback Joe Flacco — who has been nursing a hip injury suffered in Week 9 against the Pittsburgh Steelers — is inactive for today’s game. Some reports had indicated Flacco might be active. So if the Ravens should fall behind with Lamar Jackson under center, Flacco won’t be coming off the bench to try to engineer a comeback. That duty would likely fall to Robert Griffin III.

Ravens safety Tony Jefferson — who had been listed as doubtful for this game — will not play. We’ve also been watching the status of Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey. He had been listed as questionable for the game against the Chiefs, but will be active.
