According to a report on Saturday night from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry is “not expected” to play against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. But Schefter says the Chiefs are “preparing” him to play against the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday night.

Jason LaCanfora of CBS Sports also weighed in, saying it is “very likely” Berry will play on Thursday.

Berry was a limited participant in all of this week’s Chiefs practices, and was officially listed as questionable in the final injury report issued on Friday.

Arrowhead Pride’s sports medicine expert Aaron Borgmann reacted to Schefter’s tweet with one of his own, saying that this is consistent with what we would expect: Berry is being prepared for the stretch run of the season, and the playoffs beyond.
