It was announced today that Chris Jones received the AFC Defensive Player of the Month award for November. Jones has been an absolute terror for the last seven games of the season and his final performance of the month was a fantastic effort against the Rams.
Matt Lane wrote a great piece that profiled Jones (and the rest of the defensive line) a couple weeks ago and also has been singing his praises on Twitter the last few weeks as well.
Chris Jones is on one ridiculous tear right now with 9 sacks in 7 games and plays like this just got swept under the run during the game. Quick strike to get distance, inside arm forklift, the lateral agility to get around the OG, finished off by ripping under both blockers pic.twitter.com/raHqdilom0

Matt and I discussed Jones on this week’s episode of the AP Laboratory. He had plenty to say (as always).
“He has nine sacks in seven games. He’s on a tear right now. I know ESPN LA or whatever that production was of that game spent the whole time talking about the Rams. Literally, I think we got a documentary, life story of Aaron Donald. And the only Chris Jones mention was, ‘Oh Chris Jones forced a fumble and got a sack.’ It was really weird to see Jones play almost if not at the same level as Donald for at least that game and not get any coverage over it because the team didn’t win and because he’s not Donald. He was unblockable for that game and it’s not like the Rams have a poor offensive line.”
You can hear the rest of our Jones conversation, as well as a little Eric Berry talk and a preview of the Raiders game in this week’s episode.
