Every week, many of you here at Arrowhead Pride are polled on various things concerning the Kansas City Chiefs and matters across the NFL. This is part of SB Nation’s FanPulse tool. If you are interested in joining the Chiefs’ FanPulse, you may sign up here.
With it being Rivalry Week at SB Nation, this week FanPulse takes a look at teams’ top rival around the league. Let’s start with the Chiefs.
We didn’t even include the Los Angeles Chargers in the options. 45 percent of Chiefs fans consider the Broncos the team’s top rival, which isn’t all that surprising. What was surprising was the Pittsburgh Steelers (33 percent) gaining a higher percentage than the Raiders, at 21 percent.
We also asked the teams around the AFC West, and those results were rather interesting.

A sign of the times. As a sports fan of any team, it’s easy to hate success from afar. All three AFC West franchises consider the Chiefs their top rival. The Chiefs earned more than 50 percent of the vote from each team’s FanPulse.
- 56 percent of Broncos fans consider the Chiefs their top rival
- 54 percent of Chargers fans consider the Chiefs their top rival
- 53 percent of Raiders fans consider the Chiefs their top rival
According to FanPulse on both ends, the Chiefs-Broncos rival is the most prominent in the AFC West.
