In an effort to honor those assisting the people of California due to recent wildfires that have claimed at least 80 lives, both the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams plan to wear the hats of first-responders on the sidelines Monday night as they square off on Monday Night Football.
ESPN’s Darren Rovell was the first to tweet a few images of the hats:
JUST IN: Chiefs & Rams will wear first responder hats on sidelines at tonight’s game in Los Angeles. Hats will be auctioned off with funds benefiting families of those affected by wildfires & the American Red Cross Wildfire Relief. pic.twitter.com/jjfSFNg1ct

As Rovell notes, the hats “will be auctioned off with funds benefitting families of those affected by wildfires.”
Old friend Chiefs reporter of Chiefs dot com tweeted out the Chiefs’ version of the hats:

A small but classy move by the NFL and the two organizations.
