Patrick Mahomes needed two touchdowns against the Arizona Cardinals to set the Kansas City Chiefs franchise record for passing touchdowns at 31. It took him less than two quarters.

Mahomes scored his first touchdown on the very first drive of the game with a 37-yard touchdown pass to Tyreek Hill. That tied Len Dawson’s 1964 record total of 30 on the season.

Mahomes’ second touchdown of the game also went to Hill. It gave him 31.

It took Mahomes less than 10 full games to break a record that had lasted for 54 seasons.
