If you’ve played any level of football (or Madden) you’re well aware of the slant-flat passing concept. It’s a day one install for junior-high passing games and can be found in the NFL as well.
Andy Reid called several plays with the slant-flat concept attached to their run plays. The Chiefs utilized multiple run-pass options against the Broncos. Reid said in his presser this week that the Chiefs had 125 passing yards on RPOs. The Chiefs kept these plays fresh with a variety of shifts, motions and formations as to not give Denver much in the way of keys.
