Greetings, Arrowhead Pride friends.
We are gearing up for the AP watch party this Sunday night for the Chiefs-Patriots game. Myself along with other AP writers will be meeting at The Other Place in Overland Park, Kansas. Kickoff is at 7:20 p.m. (Arrowhead Time) so come on out.
If you want an AP t-shirt — there are only 20 left! — you can RSVP here and that will also get you a drink ticket and a spot in the raffle for the $100 StubHub gift card.
One of my favorite things to do is talk about Arrowhead Pride and how we started. We can sit back at the bar, grab a beer and I want to tell you the story of how AP started. And I want to hear about how you became a part of the community. Maybe we’ll will even FaceTime Chris Thorman in.
I also want to talk about covering the Chiefs for AP over the last 10 years.
What’s the best part about covering the game from the press box? (It’s the pregame buffet. I don’t eat breakfast gameday mornings so that I get my money’s worth [$0] of what the Chiefs are serving.) What is the best story I’ve covered in the Chiefs locker room? What is the worst? Does Sam Mellinger’s hair really look like that?
Mrs. Arrowhead Pride doesn’t ask me these things, so I need another outlet to tell my stories. Let’s do it on Sunday night. Go Chiefs.
