‘It’s going to be crazy’: Jaguars pose toughest test to Chiefs’ offense | ESPN
“It’s going to be fun,” Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill said. “This is by far the best defense we have faced. ... We’ve got the best offense going against the best defense, the fastest offense against the fastest defense, so it’s going to be crazy, plays made everywhere.”
The Chiefs’ defense is a train wreck ... except in this particular area | Kansas City Star
That’s right. For all the territory surrendered by the Chiefs this season, they have been the NFL’s best at stopping opponents on third down.
Reid, Chiefs coaches collaborate with Patrick Mahomes in Denver win | The Wichita Eagle
In the time between the Chiefs’ series, Reid, Henne, offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy and quarterback coach Mike Kafka talked with Mahomes, often as a group, trading ideas as frequently as they gave each other advice. It was a collaborative coaching effort, one that was a major factor in the Chiefs’ primetime win and undefeated start to the season.
NFL Week 5 game picks: Chiefs over Jaguars; Eagles nip Vikings | NFL
How do the Jaguars defend Patrick Mahomes? Do they rush the front four only and play coverage on the back end with numbers? If so, they will need to account for Kareem Hunt (who was fantastic in the win on “Monday Night Football”) by playing a safety close to the line or using all three linebackers. They can blitz or try to confuse Mahomes, but I’m not sure that will work ... especially with crowd noise not being a factor for the Chiefs’ offense.
Immovable Jaguars D braced for Chiefs’ unstoppable offense | ESPN
No team has yet been able to contain the Chiefs’ offense, but if there is a defense that can it’s the Jaguars.

Mahomes says he is unfazed by the accolades that have been showered on him in the opening month of the season, insisting he is still learning his craft.

Rank’s 11 Week 5 Sleepers: Derek Carr leads the way | NFL
With Fournette out this week, T.J. Yeldon is such a boss play against the Chiefs. I believe he’s done enough over the course of the season to earn a role for the rest of the year because there is no way Fournette is going to tote the rock 300 times this season. Hell, I’d be happy with 200. But Yeldon ... He’s an amazing Week 5 play.

Man, we don’t deserve Drew Brees. He is going to break the NFL’s all-time passing record on Monday night, and nobody gives a (expletive). It’s true. Sure, you like Drew Brees. You enjoy his games. Hell, you try to get him on your fantasy team every year. But you also take him for granted.

Kansas City Chiefs defensive trends and tabulation for Week 4
OK, so that’s supremely excessive for the worst defense in the league in yards, yards per rush and first downs per game. It also ranks near the bottom in passing yards per game, yards per play and basically anything that isn’t third-down percentage (1st in the league) or sacks (12th in the league).
