Dee Ford named AFC defensive player of the week for Week 8

The Chiefs linebacker had three sacks in the latest win over the Denver Broncos

The NFL has named Kansas City Chiefs outside linebacker Dee Ford the AFC’s defensive player of the week for Week 8.

Ford sacked Denver Broncos quarterback Case Keenum 3.0 times in the Chiefs’ 30-23 win on Sunday. He leads the Chiefs with 8.0 sacks on the season. He also has 22 combined tackles and one pass defensed.

As we relayed on Tuesday, Ford’s 44 quarterback pressures lead the rest of the league’s edge rushers by six.
