Chris Jones had little to say about Sunday ejection

When asked by the media about the play, Jones said he couldn’t remember what happened.

Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones was ejected from the team’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday for punching an opposing player’s right hamstring during an extra point.

Here’s a quick clip of the play, and as you’ll notice, Jones smiled as he walked off the field.

On Wednesday, the local Kansas City media asked Jones about the play.

“I actually can’t remember,” Jones said when asked to recall the play. “Unfortunately I got kicked out, but [I’m] moving forward, focusing on the Patriots.”

Jones later added that he and Chiefs head coach Andy Reid “had a talk” regarding the play.

“We just had a talk about emotions and playing within the game,” Jones added.

Besides the ejection, Jones had a pick-six in the contest, which eventually ended up being the game-winning play.

The 24-year-old has eight combined tackles, four tackles for loss, four quarterback hits and 1.0 sack and one pass defensed on the season.

You have to like the fire here in Jones, but that’s a thing you can’t have happen every week. It sounded like Jones realized that when he spoke on Wednesday.
