The Kansas City Chiefs weren’t just missing Travis Kelce in Saturday’s playoff loss to the Titans. They were also missing Chris Jones and for good reason: he tore his MCL, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Chiefs' DL Chris Jones tore his MCL on Saturday, will undergo surgery and recovery time expected to be 8-10 weeks, per source.

Assuming surgery and rehab goes OK this should be plenty of time for him to recover as the Chiefs offseason program (usually) doesn’t begin until April.
Jones had a good, not great season this year. After his superb rookie year I think many of us were waiting for him to take a huge leap forward this year. Not that he was bad, but I thought he would make the leap from very good to dominant and he didn’t. There’s still plenty of time for that in his young career. (Update: Someone reminded me that Jones had knee surgery before last season, which is notable here as we discuss his season)
