Travis Kelce has concussion, ruled out for Titans game

Uh-oh. Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce was slow getting up after a big hit against the Tennessee Titans and the Chiefs announced he has a concussion. This means that Kelce will be in the concussion protocol this week and his status for next week’s game — if the Chiefs win — is officially in question.

Kelce caught a pass crossing the field and was being tackled by one Titan and then hit by another one (I didn’t think he saw the second one coming). He was slow getting up but did walk off under his own power. ESPN cameras also showed him walking to the locker room on his own as the Chiefs were a minute from halftime.

This is Kelce’s second concussion this year. He had one in October but did not miss a game.

Fans were chanting his name as he walked off the field.

Clearly, Kelce is important to the Chiefs. He is part of the three-headed monster along with Tyreek Hill and Kareem Hunt. It would be devastating to the Chiefs if Kelce is hurt.
