Redskins former GM says he never would’ve traded CB Kendall Fuller to Chiefs

The word I keep hearing is the Kansas City Chiefs “fleeced” the Washington Redskins.

I heard it from former Redskins writer Mike Jones used that word for the Redskins cornerback some thought was going to be the best defensive player on the team in another year. Adam Schefter said one Redskins player told him Fuller graded out as the best player on the defense this year. Teammate DJ Swearinger said this has to be a joke. Washington reporter Grant Paulsen said the Chiefs struck gold with this move. “They must be partying tonight,” he wrote. Redskins fans created a dang petition to back out of the trade.

All that’s great. To me, the best praise for this deal came from former Redskins GM Scot McCloughan. They just let him last year so he is intimately familiar with the Redskins roster. He’s also praised for his evaluation skills. Here’s what he said about Fuller: Redskins roster. He’s
