I expect the Arrowhead crowd to be just fine this weekend when the Tennessee Titans come to town but right now the demand for KC Chiefs playoff tickets just isn’t there compared to other teams.
A secondary ticket vendor called TiqIQ said earlier this week that the get-in prices for the Titans-Chiefs is the cheapest playoff ticket this year at $51 (StubHub has them at $44) and even cheaper than the Chiefs 2011 playoff game against the Titans.
This is kind of a weird year for the Chiefs. There are some people who aren’t ready to fully invest in the 2017 Chiefs until they beat the Patriots or Steelers. That’s really what this season comes down to, that Divisional round and (hopefully) AFC Championship game against one or both of those teams.
It’s also been bitterly cold in Kansas City recently. Like, negative degrees cold. While it’s supposed to warm up to a high in the 40s for the game on Saturday, it’s possible the weather is holding some fans back.
Also, the Titans are not a sexy matchup. The Chiefs should win this game. Any long time Chiefs fan knows the danger in that statement but it’s true. The Titans are a hard team to get excited for.
