Chiefs beat one of the Super Bowl teams, again

The Kansas City Chiefs beat both Super Bowl teams this year -- the Patriots in Week 1 and the Eagles in Week 2. That start to the season is looking better and better now that we see the Patriots are playing the Eagles in the Super Bowl.

This will mark the fourth consecutive year the Chiefs have beaten one of the teams playing in the Super Bowl. This year, it’s the Patriots and Eagles. Last year, the Chiefs beat the Falcons before they went onto play in the Super Bowl (Eric Berry’s famous pick-two game). The year before that the Chiefs beat Denver before they went on to play in the Super Bowl. Before that they beat the Seahawks before they went on to play New England in the Super Bowl.

Pretty cool to hang your hat on something like this, right?

No, actually, it is not. Beating the Super Bowl teams and not actually playing in the Super Bowl or advancing to an AFC title game is not very cool.
