The KC Chiefs have a new running backs coach. Deland McCullough interviewed with the Chiefs on Thursday and they hired him, according to the KC Star’s Terez Paylor.
McCullough will replace Eric Bieniemy as the Chiefs running backs coach after Bieniemy was promoted to offensive coordinator.
McCullough was at USC last year and before that he was at Indiana. I don’t know much about his coaching style other than while at Indiana he coached a few future NFL players — Tevin Coleman (Falcons), Jordan Howard (Bears) and Devine Redding (Chiefs).
So that seems pretty impressive. McCullough will be inheriting a pretty good situation with not only Kareem Hunt but Spencer Ware also coming back.
