The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Tennessee Titans in the first playoff game of 2018. The Chiefs and Titans game is next Saturday at 3:25 p.m. (Arrowhead Time). The game will be on ESPN / ABC (which makes me wonder ... is Jon Gruden — the “next Raiders head coach” — going to walk into a production meeting with Andy Reid as an announcer for ESPN??).
The second game that day is the Falcons-Rams while Sunday’s games are the Bills-Jaguars (the Bills!) and the Panthers-Saints. Of those games, the Bills-Jaguars is the one I most want to see because neither team is a regular in the playoffs. I love stories like the Bills who haven’t made the playoffs since 1999.
The Chiefs are on a short week. If coaching matters on a short week, I’ll take the Chiefs advantage. The Titans and Chiefs last played in 2014, the Chiefs miserable home opener, which they lost err, the Chiefs last played the Titans in 2016 where they also lost a miserable home game. The Chiefs open as a touchdown favorite over the Titans at Arrowhead.
